Clay Hacker was founded in 2024 to help SaaS and startup founders quickly launch an efficient outbound sales engine without the overhead of hiring a full-time team and expensive sales tools.
Having witnessed firsthand the struggles of startups that hire sales teams too early without a proven playbook and the high costs of adding extra headcount, founder Dave Murphy knew there was a more efficient way to scale GTM and outbound sales more efficiently. This could be achieved by utilizing new AI tools like Clay, establishing the right cold email infrastructure, and leveraging the appropriate outbound sales platforms.
Dave brings outbound sales experience as the first sales hire at a bootstrapped startup that a public SaaS company acquired. He joined that public SaaS company's Strategic sales team, working with key Fortune 500 customers. His sales experience at three additional venture-backed SaaS startups means Clay Hacker is built from real-world experience and lessons learned from the trenches.
